Frequently Asked Questions
What is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist?
Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are qualified allied health professionals who specialise in the prevention, management, and treatment of chronic health conditions, diseases, and injuries through evidence-based exercise therapy. With at least four years of university education and training, AEPs are equipped to support individuals with a wide range of conditions, including cardiovascular, respiratory, metabolic, neurological, musculoskeletal, and mental health concerns.
If I need to have surgery, can Exercise Physiology services help me?
Exercise Physiology services can be helpful both before and after surgery. Leading up to surgery, we can provide personalised exercise prescriptions to help prepare your body for the procedure. After surgery, while we don’t provide care in the very early stages of rehab, we work closely with experienced Physiotherapists to support your recovery process. Our focus is on helping you safely return to exercise and regain strength as part of your ongoing rehabilitation.
Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, NDIS, and Private Health?
As Accredited Exercise Physiologists, we are registered with various private health providers, meaning you may be eligible for a rebate depending on your level of coverage. While we don’t have a HICAPS machine, we will provide a receipt for you to submit to your health fund for any applicable rebate.
